What in the Covid!

Both antigen and PCR tests are used to determine if a person has an active infection

So I started off letting my kids know in my class that from the end of November until the winter break I had a lot of fun stuff planned for them so we started throwing around ideas like yarn Christmas trees pajamas on the last day of a movie fest hot cocoa and NACHOS!!

Don't judge us, nachos are awesome! Smiley face.

When I got to work, I had 6 bags full of stuff to decorate our classroom wrapping paper Christmas lights small trees snowflakes

It was a full-on winter wonderland with gingerbread men and snowmen that kept them occupied for a week, yes Nina! For the win. We got the gifts for each kid and sorted them out and labeled them. We were ready for this awesome last week ahead before Christmas break.

Basically, this Friday before Christmas approaches and I forgot I had my booster shot scheduled. It's going to be a long day with the kids, so I decided to do this now of all days. I just hope and pray that I won't have a reaction.

As anyone who knows me can attest, I have this autoimmune disease that takes a toll on my old body - boy I'm only 38 I know, but back to the story, I'm wearing my pajamas since the last day is our version of Christmas. I'm sweating profusely, my arm hurts, and the kids are loud and all over me - have to love kids!

The boss and I were busy that day running from class to class serving nachos, hot cocoa and snacks, as well as heading to the gym and seeing movies. It was a long day and I felt horrible! Nevertheless, I was out of the building in no time. When the clock turned 7 pm, I felt strange driving home, but I ignored it since I just had a booster shot. Needless to say, I slept the whole weekend right before my birthday Sagittarius baby.

So the clusterfuck I made my arrangements for dinner a month in advance to the restaurant

In addition, 5 hours before the reservation they call and inform me that they have to close suddenly due to a medical issue. I was upset, of course, since I now have to find a new place, and then damn near everyone cancels. I'm feeling very shaky right now but baby and my younger cousin pulled through and I

had an unforgettable night.

However, I have to be up at 8 AM to take a CPR class, so no drink for me.

The class was very informative and the times have changed so much since my last CPR class in 2010 - see I told you I'm an ancient dagnabit!

And at the very end, the instructor said to us I'm so sorry I just got a call and I have been exposed to covid and let me tell you my eyes bulged ( big ass eyeballs)

So I know now I need to be tested asap. However, as usual, every testing site is booked and there are extremely long lines in the cold. Now I will either have a cold or the flu after this, it's rough out here. On the morning of Christmas, I still have no symptoms, but I need to be tested, and my boss texts me to tell me she came back positive.

Despite whether or not there are lines, it has been 3 days since exposure. I finally sit in a bare-bones CVI testing center that I have been to before and I walk out with a negative result. I'm happy and even if I don't plan to do much for Christmas, I at least have peace of mind. A day later, my brothers, my trust roommates start coughing up a lung and I am fine. If I only knew that both of them are carrying the Omicron while

Day 1

My body feels a tad weird and I have a headache throats a little itchy. I wanna remain optimistic because there are other viruses out there like um the FLU, COMMON COLD, AND STREP which are all pains in the butt too.

Day 2

There is a runny nose and I keep sneezing.

Why the heck am I sneezing since I feel as if I breathed in a lot of dust

Day 3

My sides feel like somebody left me in an arcade and people have been playing wack a mole with me for a month. I'm worried I have had this problem with my pancreas before and this feels similar. What's going on?

Day 4

I can't hold this any longer but I can't seem to stay awake. I take a bath and soak in Epsom salts for a whole hour. I fell asleep in the tub. I am looking forward to sleeping all night with my NyQuil humidifier and Vicks.

Day 5

Happy upcoming years I still can't get a Dr's appointment oh wait a min I got it

I arrive at a long-awaited appointment and my doctor comes in well you tested positive well I'm not entirely sure this is flu right. I had COVID, I felt a lot worse. He says honestly I have more concern about your bp, which is pretty high in this case 179/114, so now I'm frightened. In all honesty, that made me much more nervous than hearing about COVID. My blood pressure has never been that high, so what did I do when I left there? I immediately rushed to the ER, and they confirmed I had Omicron. They put me on blood pressure medication until this ends, and I am five days into the semi-isolation period. After feeling better, I now feel like shit again. What the hell am I doing? If you don't mind, please share your stories with me. I want to hear about your experiences too. I want us to stay safe and powered up.
